Stockholm Coffee Trip — Lykke Nytorget

The Coffee Chronicles pt.5

In diesem Post geht es wie üblich um Kaffee, aber auch um meinen Trip nach Stockholm, den letzten Release Friday und andere Songs die ich kürzlich entdeckt habe. Lest also unbedingt bis zum ende durch.

Mein Trip nach Stockholm

Der Trip liegt jetzt schon etwa zwei Monate zurück, daher schreibe ich ein wenig aus dem Gedächtnis, aber ich schätze, das ist noch gut genug, um euch einen kleinen Einblick in meinen Ausflug zu geben.

Insgesamt zwei Tage waren Lukas und ich in Stockholm unterwegs und haben für die verhältnismäßig kurze Zeit auch recht viel gesehen. Neben einigen Cafés besuchten wir das Fotografiemuseum Fotografiska, die Insel Gamla Stan und die Gefängnisinsel Långholmen, auf der wir übernachteten. Ich glaube, wäre das Wetter noch ein wenig besser gewesen, wäre es ein 10/10-Ausflug geworden. Der Stockholm-Ausflug wird mir wohl am meisten in Erinnerung bleiben, weil es so ziemlich der erste “große” Trip während meines Erasmus-Aufenthalts in Finnland war. Generell war es auch ein echt schöner Ausflug, bei dem ich viel gesehen, lecker gegessen und allgemein viel Spaß hatte.

Wo ist das Lykke Café

Das Lykke Café liegt im südlichen Zentrum der Stadt, in der Nytorgsgatan 38 im Bezirk Södermalm. Rundherum gibt es einige Design Studios, Geschäfte und viele Restaurants. Allgemein war das Viertel mit seinen bunten Häusern und der Steilküste im Norden sehr nett. Zum Zeitpunkt unseres Besuchs war leider eine sehr große Baustelle vor dem Café aufgebaut, so dass man den Eingang schnell mal übersehen konnte. Rundherum gibt es einige kleine Parkanlagen in die man sich im Sommer sicher gut setzen kann, um dort seinen Kaffee zu trinken. Wenn es jetzt noch mehr “Spätis” in der Nähe geben würde, entstände eine coole Kiez Atmosphäre rund um das Café. Aber auch ohne ist es dort sehr schön.

Das Café

So unscheinbar, wie das Café von außen ist, so schick und bunt ist es von innen. Generell war das Café vermutlich das schönste, in dem ich bisher war. Insgesamt war es eine Mischung aus Café, Shop und Veranstaltungsort im Untergeschoss.

Das ganze Geschäft war super schön eingerichtet. Neben vielen Pflanzen, Kunst an der Wand und Neonbeleuchtung mit dem Firmenlogo standen auf den Tischen kleine Kokoswasser-Dosen vom Berliner Hotel Michelberger, die zu kleinen Vasen umfunktioniert wurden. Schick.

Neben dem Café in Stockholm gibt es auch noch eine Rösterei in Finnland, die dort den finnischen Markt bedient. Seitdem ich das Café kenne, kaufe ich für daheim auch nur noch deren Kaffee ein.

Edit: An dieser Stelle ist mir aufgefallen, dass sich auch dieses Café in einem Backsteingebäude befindet. Das ist mir jetzt schon häufiger aufgefallen und trifft bisher auf alle Cafés zu die ich bisher reviewed habe.

Der Kaffee: Happiness 🌈🌈

Das Lykke Café bietet sowohl im Geschäft, online als auch in vielen Supermärkten in Schweden und Finnland eine Vielzahl an Kaffeesorten an. Im Café und Zuhause habe ich bisher immer den Kaffee “Happiness” getrunken.

Kurz zum Happiness Kaffee:

Art des Kaffees: Filter Brew

Stärke/Intensität: 3/5

Geschmacksprofil: Nugat, Toffee, fruchtig

Röstprofil: Süß

Preis: 18€/500g

Auch wenn der Kaffee ein bisschen hochpreisig ist, kann ich ihn nur empfehlen. Neben dem Geschmack sieht auch die Verpackung sehr schön aus und ist gleichzeitig wiederverschließbar. Ich hoffe, dass ich den Kaffee auch noch bekomme, wenn ich wieder zurück in Deutschland bin. Ansonsten muss ich mich hier noch eindecken.

Der Kaffee bekommt von mir eine Bewertung von 9/10. Der eine Punkt geht an dieser Stelle auch nur wegen des hohen Preises verloren.

Andere Kaffeesorten gibt es im Onlineshop zu sehen. Preislich sind die sich alle ziemlich ähnlich.

Bewertung

Insgesamt ist das Lykke Café vermutlich das beste, das ich bisher besucht habe. Die Inneneinrichtung ist wirklich unnormal schön und der Kaffee lecker und bezahlbar. Es befindet sich in einem schönen Teil der Stadt und ist bei einem Stockholmbesuch problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen. Essenmäßig kann ich an dieser Stelle leider nicht viel sagen und kann mich tatsächlich auch nicht daran erinnern, ob es viel oder wenig gab. Ich kann mich ehrlich gesagt nicht daran erinnern, dass mir das Angebot vor Ort negativ aufgefallen wäre. Daher bewerte ich das Café so romantisierend, wie ich es im Kopf habe, und gebe eine 10/10.

Post des Monats: “one day in may”

Dieses Mal gibt es etwas ganz anderes, und zwar einen Account einer Fotografin. Auch wenn man bei einem Abo nur einen kostenlosen Post im Monat bekommt, lohnt es sich mal kurz reinzuschauen und vielleicht auch mal zu kommentieren. Bei „one day in may“ (was übrigens auch ein sehr cooler Name ist) geht es um das Nachstellen eines Fotos, tägliches Journalführen und mental health.

Song Empfehlung des Monats : Sister Golden Hair 🇺🇸

Meine Sommerempfehlung für das Jahr 2024.

Ähnlich wie letzten Sommer gibt es dieses Jahr wieder einen Song von America. Wäre „Ventura Highway“ letztes Jahr nicht schon krass genug gewesen, kommt die Band America mit „Sister Golden Hair“ mit einem noch stärkeren Sommersong um die Ecke.

Endlich mal wieder ein Song, den ich vorher noch nie gehört habe. Ich hatte erst gestern mit meiner Freundin darüber gesprochen, wie nervig es doch sei, ständig dasselbe hören zu müssen, weil man einfach nichts Neues findet. Zumal ich die 70er und vor allem die 80er bis zum Gehtnichtmehr durchgekaut habe. Ich brauche nur die erste Sekunde von „Jump“ zu hören, um den Rest des Tages keine Lust mehr auf Musik zu haben. Daher bin ich umso glücklicher, endlich mal wieder einen geilen Song gefunden zu haben, den ich die kommende Woche rauf und runter hören kann.

Pashanim hat wieder einen Sommersong gedroppt. Dieses Mal geht es ausnahmsweise nicht um Kreuzberg 61, Mehringdamm und Shabbabs botten.

Mit "Mittelmeer" geht es vom berühmten Kreuzberg Haus über die Alpen nach Italien. Auch dieses Mal ist es ein Lovesong. Ob er einfach nur wieder einen Vibe erzeugen will oder tatsächlich jemanden addressiert, weiß ich ehrlich gesagt auch nicht. Vermutlich beides.

Stockholm Coffee Trip — Lykke Nytorget

This post is about coffee as usual, but also about my trip to Stockholm, the last Release Friday and other songs I recently discovered. so make sure you read through to the end.

My trip to Stockholm

The trip was about two months ago now, so I'm writing a little from memory, but I guess that's still good enough to give you a little insight into my trip.

Lukas and I spent a total of two days in Stockholm and saw quite a lot for such a relatively short time. In addition to a few cafés, we visited the Fotografiska photography museum, the island of Gamla Stan and the prison island of Långholmen, where we spent the night. I think if the weather had been a bit better, it would have been a 10/10 trip. I will probably remember the Stockholm trip the most because it was pretty much the first "big" trip during my Erasmus stay in Finland. In general, it was also a really nice trip where I saw a lot, ate delicious food and generally had a lot of fun.

Café Location: Lykke

Lykke Café is located in the southern center of the city, at Nytorgsgatan 38 in the Södermalm district. There are several design studios, stores and many restaurants in the area. In general, the district was very beautiful with its colorful houses and the cliffs to the north. At the time of our visit, there was unfortunately a very large building site in front of the café, so it was easy to miss the entrance. There are a few small parks around the café where you can sit and enjoy a coffee in summer. If there were more Spätis nearby, it would create a cool neighborhood atmosphere around the café. But even without it, it's very nice there.

Lykke

As inconspicuous as the café is from the outside, it is just as chic and colorful on the inside. In general, the café was probably the nicest I've been to so far. Overall, it was a mixture of café, store and event venue in the basement.

The whole place was really beautifully decorated. In addition to lots of plants, art on the wall and neon lighting with the company logo, there were small coconut water cans from the Michelberger Hotel in Berlin on the tables, which had been converted into small vases. Very creative and in keeping with the rest of the café.

In addition to the café in Stockholm, there is also a roastery in Finland that serves the Finnish market. Since I got to know the café, I only buy their coffee at home.

Edit: At this point I noticed that this café is also located in a brick building. I've noticed this more often now and it's true of all the cafés I've reviewed so far.

The Coffee: Happiness 🌈🌈🌈

Lykke Café offers a variety of coffees both in-store, online and in many stores in Sweden and Finland. I drank the Happiness coffee both in the store and at home.

Strength/Intensity: 3/5

Flavor profile: Nougat, toffee, fruity

Roast profile: Sweet

Price: 18€/500g

Even if the coffee is a bit expensive, I can only recommend it. In addition to the taste, the packaging looks very nice and is also resealable. I hope that I can still get the coffee when I'm back in Germany. Otherwise I'll have to stock up here.

The coffee gets a rating of 9/10 from me. The one point is only lost at this point because of the high price.

You can find other types of coffee in the online store. They are all quite similar in price.

Rating

Overall, Lykke Café is probably the best I've visited so far. The interior is really abnormally beautiful and the coffee is delicious and affordable. It is located in a nice part of the city and is within easy walking distance when visiting Stockholm. Unfortunately, I can't say much about the food at this point and I can't actually remember whether there was much or little. To be honest, I can't remember noticing anything negative about what was on offer here. Therefore, I rate the café as romanticized as I have it in my head and give it a 10/10.

This time there is something completely different, namely an account of a photographer. Even if you only get one free post a month with a subscription, it's worth taking a quick look and maybe even commenting. One day in may" (which is also a very cool name, by the way) is all about recreating a photo, keeping a daily journal and mental health.

Song recommendation of the month : Sister Golden Hair 🇺🇸

My summer recommendation for the year 2024. Last year "Ventura Highway" and this year again the band America with the song Sister Golden Hair.

Finally a song that I've never heard before. I was just talking to my girlfriend yesterday about how annoying it is to have to listen to the same thing all the time because you just can't find anything new. Especially as I've chewed through the 70s and especially the 80s to the point of no return. I only need to listen to the first second of "Jump" to be sick of music for the rest of the day. So I'm all the happier to have finally found another great song that I can listen to up and down for the next week.

Pashanim has dropped another summer song. This time, for once, it's not about Kreuzberg 61, Mehringdamm and Shabbabs botten.

"Mediterranean" takes us from the famous Kreuzberg Haus across the Alps to Italy. This time, too, it's a love song. To be honest, I don't know whether he just wants to create a vibe again or actually address someone. Probably both.
